♥ Fiction – Voices from Hell chapter 2

"Ahh! I'm starving! Are we there yet?" I've finally got the complaint out of my mouth after an hour in the narrow dodgy train. I've been staring out the window at nothing but plain lands plus maybe a couple of… cows? Yuki, on the other hand, had her eyes quite literally attached to the puny pamphlet about our destination, what is there to know about it anyway? She didn't even raise her head when I moaned. I've barely seen her so enthusiastic about… well, anything! For most of the time she's probably on the permanent-high mode, but her interest in most thing lasts for about a week and it eventually dies out as she moves onto her next fantasy. I'm still trying to figure out what is so interesting about this thing that made her went psycho for 3 weeks now.

I gave up on grabbing her attention and turned back towards to window for another "let's-try-to-find-more-cows" session. Suddenly Yuki's head snapped up.

"Kento-kun look at this!" she squealed. I jumped at the sudden noise in the quiet train. I turned to face her; she was holding up the pamphlet and pointing at one of the pages with a small paragraph in red font:
in the night when the moon is round, the man whose body was never found will seek revenge to those who took his life. The fire from hell will engulf all and destroy all; the hatred will curse all the unfortunates for eternity.
A little story made up to scare people huh
, I thought to myself, maybe this is a good chance to get my proper summer vacation back.
"Yuki-chan, looks like the spirit of the previous owner of the opera does not want us to go there so…-"
"THAT'S SO EXCITING~~!!" Yuki squealed again, cutting me off.
"…Eh?!"
"Isn't that so cool? I mean, we might get to see a ghost~ that's just awesome"
"…." I can't believe what I'm hearing. Yuki, a girl who screams at the sight of a dead cockroach, have the guts to face a ghost?! You have GOT to be kidding me! Now my summer vacation is really in the shit; heat, old stage covered in spider webs and now ghost stories. The chances are, Yuki is going to drag me around during night time with a torch in hope to find the bodiless man! Gosh…. Can my holiday get ANY worse than this?!
