♥ Fiction – Voices from Hell chapter 1
I hate summer. For most of the time, summer is the time where I hide at home in a well air conditioned room with my bucket of choc-mint ice-cream. However, this summer… Yuki suddenly had the idea of a field trip! Growing up with her, I know how much she loves the nature and she has always wanted to experience new things. But dragging me with her is a whole different story! So my summer holiday has been completely ruined… it's 32 degrees and I'm sitting at the train station with Yuki's stuff on my back and I'm sweating like a dog. This made me wonder… why did I agree to come out here with her in the first place.
"Pretty please~" she begged, "Mika-chan is already going to Hawaii! I don't want to travel alone…"
"No! It's freaking 30 degrees outside! I don't want to wait for a train in this boiling weather just to go see some historical sites!" I complained. My eyes were glued to my computer screen where a Desert Eagle is blazing at its enemy ahead
"Kento-kun~ please please please please~~" she asked again, tugging my sleeve, "I'll shout you ice-cream everyday next term!"
Obviously she's the type of girl who won't give up until I agree to go with her to see this super exciting ancient opera house. I knew I shouldn't have encouraged her to join the drama club in the first place, now she's just gone gaga over anything between Shakespeare and High School Musical… so basically everything that's performance related. Well, thanks to Mika, now she wants to take a visit to a 100 years old opera house. Apparently it's the actual stage hasn't been used for ages; the place has been renovated for a bit to serve as a small country side hotel… Great! So now Yuki wants to see if she can rent the stage that has been left during the renovation, the largest stage which features full sound control room. She's been coming up with all sorts of ideas ever since she became the president for the drama club, and this time she decided that their latest performance on Phantom of the Opera is not going to take place in the school hall like usual… and thus up comes the idea from Mika about this ancient opera house/hotel.
"Alright! Alright! I'll go!" Gosh… I can never win when she starts her I'll-not-give-up-until-I-get-what-I-want. So here I am, dragged out here against my will and waiting to be spending 2 weeks of my summer vacation in a remote hotel…. Where many unknown mystery awaits.
