♥ Nightmares…

We've all had nightmares right? When you wake up sweating and puffing in the middle of the night, feeling the great relieve that it wasn't real? And when you tell someone about it, they laugh at you and say "what's so scary about that? You're such a chicken~"

Of course they'd think it's silly that nightmares which are completely unreal can freak a person out from the middle of their slumber, because they weren't there to feel the tension… for some reason dreams feel so real to me. For the first time as far as I can remember, I actually woke up with sweats all over my forehead and my heart racing at 200 km per hour. My body was all tensed up when I looked around the room, realising it was all just a bad dream. What was in my dream? Well, now that I think about it, it really wasn't that bad~ it was completely unrealistic… but somehow still scared the crap out of me.

I was at a market place in Taiwan, where my mom grew up. In the market are many different people selling different things, most of these are vegetables and other fresh ingredient. This also included various butchers, grabbing the chickens alive from the cage and slit their throat with a huge, shiny knife. The was one butcher in particular which caught my attention, as I seemed to be wondering around the place aimlessly (that's what you do a lot in dreams, walking around with no destination in mind). His stall was empty from customer, and yet he was at the back from where I can see, chopping meat away in a steady rhythm. Every time I walked past his stall he seemed to look up at me (I have no idea why I was walking past the stall OVER AND OVER again), until I stopped right in front of the stall and watched him. He looked up and asked (in a really creepy way which I can't describe) "You~can~see~~me~~?" And then this huge grin appeared right across his face, a scary grin where his eyes open up so wide like it's about to pop out of his socket. "Hahahahahaha…. You can see me; I finally found some who can replace me… ahahahahahah..." his laugh echoed, I started backing away, my voice feels completely dissolved by his grin. He held a huge knife dripping with fresh blood and started walking towards me, slowly lifting the knife above his head like setting it up for the best place to slash…

And the I woke up… sweating and puffing! Both of my hands are clenched to my blanket, I sighed in relieve that it was just a nightmare… and horrible one. Sounds silly right? Dreaming myself being targeted by a dead person/ghost/evil spirit carrying a huge bloody knife trying to kill me for "replacement"… but it felt real, so real that I was freaked out to my guts~~
